A maker of acoustic and electric guitars contacted Galaxy about finding a new supplier for the cable assemblies used in their guitars. They were experiencing some quality issues with the current supplier, particularly with inconsistent lengths of the twisted pair wire assemblies. Galaxy was able to generate some samples for six different assemblies and provide them to the guitar maker for inspection and approval.
These cable assemblies meet the UL 1007 standard and are made with 24 gauge twisted pairs of black and red wires. While there is nothing particularly elaborate or complicated about this twisted cable assembly or its connectors, the simple fact that they could be made as specified and provided at a competitive price was an improvement for the manufacturer.
