Polytetrafluoroetheylene, PTFE, Teflon® Insulated Wire & Cable

Galaxy is a leading supplier of custom and stock Polytetrafluoroetheylene (PTFE) wires or cables. PTFE is also known as Teflon®, invented by DuPont™. Galaxy can supply PTFE wires and cables, both stock and custom, in various AWG sizes, voltage ratings, compounds, shielding constructions, and conductor counts.

What is Teflon® / Polytetrafluoroetheylene / PTFE?

Polytetrafluoroetheylene, also referred to as PTFE and Teflon®, is a synthetic fluoropolymer. PTFE is typically used in extreme environments. PTFE can withstand very high temperatures and low temperatures, is extremely durable and exhibits excellent electrical properties. These characteristics explain why PTFE / Teflon® is a widely used product. PTFE is commonly used military, aerospace, coaxial, and appliance wiring applications.
