What is Chlorinated Polyethylene / CPE

Chlorinated Polyethylene, also referred to as CPE, is considered a thermoplastic material. It is also available in a cross-linked or thermoset version. The thermoplastic version is most commonly used. CPE insulation provides excellent flame and chemical resistance. CPE is also a very durable insulation. The common application for CPE is in power and control applications. The physical characteristics of CPE lend itself to be used an industrial setting.
