Galaxy Wire and Cable, Inc. announced the retirement of John Zangara, Vice President of Manufacturing, effective August 1, 2026. Mr. Zangara joined the company on September 21, 2009, and has spent nearly 17 years leading the production floor, shaping the company’s manufacturing operations, and mentoring generations of employees.
During his tenure, Mr. Zangara oversaw the company’s daily production scheduling, quality standards, and vendor relationships, and was widely regarded on the floor as a steady, approachable leader with an open-door policy. He played a central role in growing Galaxy Wire and Cable’s manufacturing capabilities and in building a culture centered on communication, continuous improvement, and mutual respect between leadership and the production team.
“John has been an extraordinary partner in building this company, and his fingerprints are on nearly every process that keeps our floor running well today. His dedication to our people and our customers has been unmatched, and while he will be greatly missed, he leaves behind a strong foundation and a well-prepared team,” said Eric Lutz, CEO of Galaxy Wire and Cable.
To ensure a smooth transition, Galaxy Wire and Cable has structured a multi-month overlap between Mr. Zangara and Michael Finnigan, who joined the company earlier this year as Manufacturing Manager. The transition plan includes shared floor time, direct introductions to key customer and vendor contacts, and a phased handoff of scheduling and production responsibilities, all designed so that day-to-day operations continue without disruption.
“My job has always been to make the team’s job easier, and I’m proud of what we’ve built together on this floor,” said John Zangara. “I’m confident in the team we have in place, and I’m looking forward to watching Galaxy continue to grow.”
Mr. Zangara’s last day with the company will be August 1, 2026. Galaxy Wire and Cable thanks him for his nearly two decades of service and wishes him well in retirement.
