Galaxy Wire and Cable, Inc., a leading manufacturer of custom wire and cable as well as harness and cable assemblies, is pleased to announce that Michael Finnigan has joined the company as Manufacturing Manager. Mike steps into the role following the retirement of longtime Vice President of Manufacturing John Zangara, whose 10-week transition plan ensured a seamless handoff of institutional knowledge and daily operations.
In his new role, Finnigan will oversee daily production floor operations, scheduling, work order management, and cross-departmental coordination — working closely with the company’s production supervisor, quality control team, and materials management group to keep Galaxy’s manufacturing operation running at the high standard its customers expect.
“We’re excited to welcome Mike to the Galaxy Wire and Cable family. He brings the experience and mindset we look for in this role, and our team has already seen his commitment to keeping the floor running efficiently and supporting the level of service our customers depend on. This is an exciting next step for our manufacturing team and the continued growth of our company.” — Eric Lutz, CEO, Galaxy Wire and Cable
Mike’s arrival comes at a pivotal moment for Galaxy Wire and Cable as the company continues to invest in its people, processes, and long-term operational continuity. Zangara’s years of leadership — and his guiding philosophy that “my job is to make their job easier” — leave a strong foundation for the next chapter of the company’s manufacturing operations.
